Our World.

How do I even begin to collect my thoughts and throw them on to the page.
I don't even how to write a post right now explaining all my thoughts and feelings without writing pages or breaking down half way through.
Friday the 13th of November 2015. A tragic day across the world for everyone.
I won't go into detail about what happened, it everywhere, if you haven't already heard then I suggest you look it up.
Lebanon, around 43 killed in two suicide bombings. Baghdad, 26 killed and 43 injured in a suicide bombing. Germany, eight bodies found in a house. Japan, a high magnitude earthquake with tsunami warnings. Turkey, more suicide bombs and killings, over the last few months there had been over 120 deaths. The ever growing race problem in Mizzou.
I'm not trying to take away what happened in Turkey and Lebanon, and I'm not ignoring it. It happens all the time and it's terrible. There is less media coverage because it happens in less developed countries than France. People forget that killings and bombings still happen in Iraq, Syria etc. I'm going to be honest and say even I'm not fully educated on what's happening in these places, and I'm determined to learn more about the issues that people in these countries face everyday
However what really hit everyone was Paris. Supposedly because it's such a developed country, and what happened was such a shock.
160+ dead, co - ordinated attacks, bombs set off outside a stadium, people shot in a bar, and 100 people taken hostage in a concert, slaughtered one by one until the police were forced to intervene. There was more, look it up.
Now I'm not some amazing writer who can compose her political and economical thoughts into one post. I can't change the world. I can't stop what's happening. And hey, you might think what I'm saying is completely wrong. You might think I've approached the subject in the wrong way or shared what I want to say in the wrong way. There are thousands of more amazing people out there that can write intellectual, more detailed posts on this. But here it goes.
I could explain how terrible this is, how much I feel for all the families involved. I do. It breaks my heart to know that these people won't be able to do the little things in life like make a cup of tea or listen the the birds tweeting. They won't get to go christmas shopping or see the new year in. They won't get to watch their children grow up or start a family of their own. And their families will never get to tell them just how much they love them.
We know who was behind this, they've already taken responsibility. I suppose they've got what they wanted, fear. Nearly everyone I've spoke to or tweeted are scared. They want everyone's boarders closed, and they don't wanna go outside anymore. That's what ISIS did.
Then we get the Islamophobia. As soon as they accepted responsibility it started. You know I saw this tweet on my twitter earlier, saying her seven year old daughter asked her of she had to tell everyone she wasn't Muslim anymore. I saw a post from a woman saying that she got ignored in stores today, and got looked down on by others, children asked their parents if she was a terrorist?
Muslims are not terrorists. I could sit here and go on for hours about how they aren't, look on twitter and you will see enough content.
ISIS are a extremist group. They are doing what they want and using religion to try and justify their actions. They are not Muslims. ISIS have killed over 100,000 muslims, they've blown up mosques, if they were Muslims why? The Qu'ran does not tell Muslims to kill, it even talks about how killing insects are wrong. Look it up before you say they must be doing it because of what Islam 'teaches' them. Have a look.
Now you want to sit there and blame Muslims for what this extremist group has done. When you don't blame Germans for Hitler, and you don't blame Christians for the KKK, but it's fine to blame Muslims for ISIS right?
You may be scared for you life, worried you are going to get killed. But there are hundreds of thousands of Muslims out there who are scared too. Subjected to prejudice and hate. Such as the Muslim woman that got pushed onto the train tracks because of her religion.
Now before you sit there, and blame Muslims who do not condone ISIS at all. I suggest you educate yourself, and think about the people you might be hurting by blaming them for something they didn't do.
And to Muslims. I'm sorry, I am so unbelievably sorry that you get blamed for something you haven't done. I'm so sorry that people can't open there eyes and use their brain more instead of putting you all into one camp.
To everyone involved in the other tragedys of Friday the 13th of November, I wish you all the best. I'm sorry I can't do anymore. All I can do is try and get people to listen, and think. I'm so sorry for everything, and I wish you the best.
I see humans, but not humanity.

October Favourites

Hello!

It's that time of the month again...FAVOURITES, I love writing and reading favourites posts, so if you know anyone that writes them everyone month and that are very good, I would love to hear about them!

TV and Film

Crime shows have been my guilty pleasure again this month, well actually I've always loved crime shows, they just excite me. Switched At Birth, won't say loads about it because you all know but yeah new eposides equals a very happy me. Peter Kaye and Lee Evans always make me laugh, so they've been a big favourite this month. I've literally watched hardly anything new though, I really need some recommendations!

Makeup and Skincare

I can tell this month's favourites is going to be terrible because once again I cannot think of anything. This month I've hardly been wearing any makeup, so I think that has to be my favourite, nothing. It has majorly improved my skin (until now, but that's due to school stress) it's felt good to just let my skin have some space. I've not been using many harsh products on my skin either, just good old toothpaste.

Music

(And books) as I've said before I don't have a certain type of music I listen too, anything that's on pleases me. Probably 2005-2011 songs have been my thing, cheesy songs but just all around great. Girl Online, okay I know the second one has come out now, and I've had this book for ages. I've read it loads of times before, but I hadn't read it for a while so I picked it up on the way to my grandparents house, and I read it that day, I love it (I'm actually going to do a full review on it, why not?)

Youtube
I've not really got many, just really what I've liked all the time. Joe, Tyler, Zoe, just the normal people. Shane Dawson is also my new favoruite, I've only just started watching him but I find him hilarious. My favoruite video though must be Colleen's Bohemian Rapsody video from her wedding, it's just gold!

Thank you for reading, and I hope you enjoyed.

Lots of love,

Elise xo

What To Do When You're Sick

Hello!

Sorry I didn't post, was going to do my unboxing finally but I've got to collect all the stuff together. So I thought, why not do a post about 'what to do when you're ill' seeing as it's coming up to winter where basically EVERYONE gets sick!

1- Stay inside if you can
This is a pretty obvious one, but the amount of people I've seen with colds outside in the freezing air is unbelievable. If you are off school, or too ill to go then stay inside and rest. Wrap yourself up, get some hot chocolate and just watch Netflix.

2 - Do something you enjoy
If you're sick, you're more likely to feel sad/down. Do something you like, such as watching youtube, reading or writing. It won't make you physically better, but it will help your mental state.

3- Have a bath
Baths are amazing if you're sick! Light a candle, get your favourite bath treats, put on some music (or do what I do and prop your phone up so you can watch youtube). Taking a bath can really help you relax, and is especially good for headaches or stomach aches.

4- Eat healthy and drink plenty of water
Okay, I admit this is hard. When I'm ill all I want to do is eat chocolate and drink milkshake, which is okay in moderation. However, having the right diet will help your health increase, and drinking water will too!

There are loads of other things you can do as well, it's whatever you feel will help you the most, staying healthy is extremely important.

Thank you for reading, my next post will defiently be the unboxing, promise!

Love,

Elise xo

September Favourites

Hello!

hey, hello, hi it's me again. I am back, actually we are back to posting again. We've been so stressed and busy that posting here hasn't been our main prority. We did discuss stopping the blog, but we decided against it and are going to try to get back to posting regularly!

anyway today I'm going to do a September favorites, because I am a sucker for a good old favourites post.

TV and Film

This month I have been loving Switched At Birth, and if you follow me on twitter (which you should) you will know how much I am OBSESSED with the show. No word of a lie I watched the whole four eposides in three days. I just think it's amazing, I've never seen a show deal with the things it has dealt with, and deafness in the way of which the show has, so I recommend watching it.
Film wise I haven't really watched anything new, but I did rewatch all of the Twilight movies last week (lame I know) just because I love them, to be specific I love Robert Pattinson.

Makeup and Skincare

I don't really have many favourites as I don't have the money to buy new products at the moment. However I have been recently loving the NYC skyline mascara, I won it in a giveaway (first impressions coming soon!) and I just think it's amazing! I'm also still in love with my Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer and the Translucent Powder, as they are just amazing quality products that give such an impact in a matter of few seconds. The Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish will always be one of my favourites, it removes makeup so quickly and easily without being too harsh on the skin, and the Witch Hazel Moisturiser is also one of my holy grail products as it just makes me so soft and lovely and ah.

Music

I basically listen to the same music all the time which is just whatever is in my suggested videos. However I have been loving soundtracks this month, a little bit of Mamma Mia and Grease will never do you wrong. Mumford and Sons have also been my go to songs this month, but TROYE SIVAN. God bless him, the little nugget has brought out the most amazing album of which I am so proud of him, fools is defiently my favourite song, so if you haven't listened to it, you need to!

Youtube and Blogs

This month I've been watching basically the same youtubers. However there are a few new which I love. Alice, is an amazing youtuber, I love her videos and she is also such a nice person. Gaby is also another amazing small youtuber who is just the funniest of people. Another favourite this month has been Sol, who is just extremely relatable and amazing. Libby Jade is also amazing, her videos are so cute and just lovely. Isabelle is also an amazing little youtuber who's videos are amazing, she is just so funny and nice, she's also such a lovely person, so I recommend you check her out. I have also recently started reading Owen Frosties blog, which I think is excellent, I follow him on twitter and he seems so nice and funny, so he is worth a search. Tyler Oakley is decent too, very good and I think more people should watch him (all links at the end)

That's it! Everything I have been loving in September, and it's been a pretty good month. Other than general school drama and stuff nothing too drastic has happened which is just splendid. I really hope you enjoyed, and see you soon!

Lots of love,

Elise xo

Unboxing/first opinions

Hello!

Today I'm going to do a unboxing/first impressions, as I recently won a giveaway run by an amazing youtuber called Taonga. Her videos are of such a high quality, they always get me hooked straight away. She is also just a generally lovely lady who radiates happiness (I will include her links at the end)

She sent me this lovely bag full of goodies. The bag is literally a perfect size, and will go with most outfits which is amazing! She also sent me a little pink bag, perfect to store my makeup in.

First, I got a The Body Shop Cool BB sample (glowing), Body Shop Nutriganics Smoothing Day Cream Sample, and the Nutriganics Drops Of Youth Sample. They all look brilliant, however I haven't used them yet, I'm saving them for a special occasion. Taonga also sent me two Body Shop little body lotions, which literally smelt to die for.

I got sent a Pilaten Blackhead Pore Strip, and I swear to god that thing was amazing! I am going to have to buy more because it literally worked wonders. The Kmart Coconut Water Face Mask is also amazing, I've used it once and I've still got some left but it made my skin feel so soft.

Taonga also sent me the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, Kleancolor Tanned Rawr Matte Bronzer, an eyebrow kit and a pencil, a very very pretty eyeshadow (they are at my grandmothers house so I cannot tell you the names), a Skyrise NYC Lengthening Mascara, an Elf Essential All Over Cover Stick and two sets of eyelashes.

They literally create the most perfect makeup look, they have become my staple products. The quatility and last of all of them are amazing, and I'm in love with all of them. I'm saving the eyelashes for a party or something (not that I ever go to parties) but out of everything I think the Elf Stick has to be my favourite, it's so multi-functional and just absolutely gorgeous.

Taonga also sent me a body wash, which was Raspberry and Vanilla, and it smells lovely, like that is all I am using right now. She also sent me a chocolate bar, I cannot remember what I was because my family (yes, I hardly got any) ate it basically as soon as we got it. I didn't think I would like it, but it was actually so addictive. As well as some Lovisa Green Jewel Earrings, which are so gorgeous but have some how been stolen by my sister because she loves them.

I am extremely grateful for everything Taonga sent me because everything is wonderful. Her channel as I've mentioned it amazing, so I'd love if you checked her out.

I really hope you enjoyed my little review, I actually really enjoy writing about products! See you soon with a new post!

Lots of love,

Elise xo

My Desk/Vanity Tour

Hello everyone, firstly, I would like to make a quick apology for not uploading on time. I made a draft of this post and forgot about it, sorry. Anyway, today i thought that i would share with you a kind of tour? A tour of my desk in my room. So yesterday, i moved my room around and so re-organised my desk and i really like how it has turned out and so i thought that i would share it with you! I hope you enjoy and yeah, i'll just get on into the post!!

The Desk:

So my desk is white and i do believe it is from Argos. I am not sure how much it was but i think it was around £90. I am not a big fan of the desk as i think it sticks out quite a lot despite moving it around so many times in my room, but, i am soon buying a new one :) However, what i do love about it is that it has a lot of storage.
Underneath the desk to the left is like a mini bookshelf. It has 3 shelves which is really helpful. I store some of my favourite magazines on there and my favourite books and also my school work as well.

On Top:

So, i am so fussy about how the top of my desk looks. I am constantly changing how things are laid out on there and completely changing what is on there. But, i have finally decided on a layout that i like.

To the left of my desk i have a white skurar pot from Ikea and in there i store some of my favourite Lush bath bombs. I think this gives quite a lot of colour to my desk as my bath bombs are a variety of colours and it looks very neat and i just really like how it looks. Then kind of below that i usually would have my Alexa Chung 'It' book with my phone on top of it or my writing pad, but in this case it was my book. I have fallen in love with Alexa's book 'It'. I love the cover, the fact that it is so photogenic and the book in general! It also fits with the theme of my room and i just love it so much. Then as i said, i would usually have my phone on top of that, if you were wondering i have the iPhone 5s in silver with a clear case with a pastel pink border which was from Amazon for £1.99. Moving on to the right of my desk, I kept one of my starbucks cup (obviously i cleaned it) and i just keep my Bic Black Biro's in there, i just think it looks really nice and kind of tumblr?? Then beside that i have my all time favourite Yankee Candle; Pink Sands. I just love this scent, i would go into detail but this post would go on forever!! Then, next to my candle is my Eiffel Tower lamp which is from the Range. This lamp is massive but i love it so much. It is so cool and unique, the lamp frame itself is the Eiffel Tower and then on top is the lamp shade of course. I do believe this was quite expensive i think it was around £15-£20 but it is so nice and big and perfect for any room to be honest. Last of all, in the centre of my desk i just keep my Macbook and Macbook Mouse. I have a Macbook Pro 13 inch with Retina Display, for those of you wondering and i just keep it on my desk as i do most of my editing and homework on my macbook and like to do it at my desk, as that is what desks are made for right?

Above My Desk:

Above my desk, i have one picture in a picture frame along with a browny canvas, which are both related to Paris. They are both on different levels as i thought it looked quite effective and i really liked it but I'm not sure on whether to take down the one of the left.
The picture on the right i received as a gift from my birthday from my mum's aunt and so i am grateful for that, thank you. And the other canvas i also got my birthday from my nan and grandad, so thank you as well.

Disclaimer:

I don't want you to feel like I'm bragging about having this stuff as really i don't intend to as I'm not that type of person! I've either bought these things with my own money or i have received them asa gift for my birthday this year.

Thankyou for reading this post, i hope you enjoyed it!
Again, sorry about forgetting to press publish yesterday when drafting this post,

Lots of Love
