Today I thought I'd talk about something everyone has, lips. Lips are obviously quite important things, and everyone should take care of them. So I'm going to share with you what I do to keep my lips moisturised and looking lovely (I hope).
I'm going to start off with the fact I think it is really important to exfoliate your lips. This may sound a little weird, but your lips get dirt and dead cells as much as anywhere else does, and gently removing that will make your lips look, and feel so much better. The majority of the time I make my own lip scrubs, you simply use honey and sugar, and you can add a bit of peppermint oil, it makes an amazin, simple scrub. However, you can buy pre-made scrubs from places such as Lush (which I've heard are very good!)
Another thing I do to exfoliate my lips is use a toothbrush. Okay, this does sounds strange but I've heard from many places that because of the bristles of the brush, it can remove dry/dead skin really easy. If you have a little bit of toothpaste on, it makes your lips really minty too.
A must to keep your lips perfect is always carry a lip balm, whether it be a homemade of a bought one. There are many recipes on the internet to make your own, or you can go buy one of the many products which are out there. I've tried so many different lip products, however I can safely say that the Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula is my favourite! It makes my lips feel AMAZING, it makes them so soft and it smells gorgeous.
I always say never neglect your lips, they are just as important as your skin. Using too much product over time damages them, and if you don't look after them properly you could be in trouble. If you have horrible lips, no matter how much lip stick or gloss you put on, they still won't look amazing. DON'T NEGLECT YOUR LIPS.

Seeing as it's getting closer and closer to summer (finally) we thought we'd do our top five makeup products for summer. These will be our overall favourite products which we feel create the best summery look!

Number 1-

Elise - Summer does get very hot, and most people sweat (obviously) people say not to wear a foundation because of the heat, however I like it. I think you need a un-cakey foundation and I recommend the Maybelline Dream Flawless. I think it gives a really good, natural look and covers up any natural redness that may appear.

Tia - So in Summer I think everyone sweats (to be honest). So people who wear make-up always have that struggle of finding a nice bass foundation that is not cakey and does not get affect by sweat or the hot weather. Personally, in summer i don't tend to wear a foundation instead i wear the Maybelline BB Cream (the beige one with pink writing) as this is a light coverage and for me, is perfect for the summer.

Number 2-

Elise - You can't go wrong with a good powder. In my eyes it keeps you from shining that little too much. I love all the Maybelline Pressed Powders, and at the moment I'm using the translucent one!

Tia - For powder, i use the Rimmel London Clear Complexion Powder as it reduces the shininess on your face and just gives a natural look.

Number 3-

Elise - My number 3 is a bronzer. Now I was stuck between a bronzer and an eyeshadow, because I like both. However I've gone for bronzer because it shapes your face really well and in summer no one has time to do eyeshadow in the fear it smudges. I love the Rimmel Bronzer.

Tia - My number 3 is mascara. I love my mascara and i always look for a good volume and no clumps mascara. For summer i love to use the Rimmel London 100% waterproof mascara. This does what it says on the packaging. It is waterproof, gives good volume to your lashes and have no clumps at all, unless you overpower your lashes a lot.

Number 4-

Elise - This isn't really a makeup product, but my number 4 is nail polish. I think if you have long enough nails, then nail polish looks amazing in the summer! My favourites are the Rimmel 60 Seconds and the Rita Ora range. They dry so fast so you can put them on and go, and they make your outfits look so much better.

Tia - My number 4 is eyes. Unlike Elise, I don't actually like bronzing that much, instead i prefer a nice eyeshadow. At the moment, i have been loving the MUA undressed palette and i honestly can not pick a favourite shade as they are all so nice. I do take the risk and wear eyeshadow as yes there is a high possibility of it smudging however i use eye creams etc (i won't go into detail) to help keep my eyeshadow in place.

Number 5-

Elise - Finally at number 5 is lips! Lips are a massive part of summer because there are so many different colours you can make them. With different clothes and makeup styles you can have different lipsticks, and I think they just make summer so much better. Colours which are more bright work even better in the summer, and both lipstick and lip gloss are a must for me. Lipstick can be a little expensive but the MUA range in Superdrug is amazing and so cheap. My favourite lip gloss right now is a pink Breakfast In Tiffany's.

Tia - My number 5 is also lips. I agree with Elise. The MUA lipsticks in Superdrug are such good quality and such a good price! I have so many of them in a variety of different shades to match plenty of outfits for summer. However, if i was too chose a certain colour for summer, i would most likely chose the Shade 7 or Nectar 16.

Obviously there are so many more products that could be included, however we've shorted it down to what we think is best and our essentials.

It's Wednesday today, which means it is Elise again. Now seeing as our blog is dedicated to beauty, I thought why not add some skincare in. No matter how much makeup you wear, if you don't take care of your skin, the makeup will be useless. So today, I'm going to be talking about the Witch Overnight Clearing Serum, which is one of my all time favourite products!
The Overnight Clearing Serum helps to visibly reduce blemishes and spots. It is an oil - free visibly hydrating serum for spot prone and sensitive skin.
To apply the product, you should cleanse the skin throughly in the evening, before applying a fine layer all over the face. The clearing serum can be used in the morning on its own, or under a moisturiser.
I've been using the product for about two weeks, and I love it. My skin is now so much clearer, and feels hydrated through the day. The formula isn't too sticky, but it isn't water based so it feels amazing on your skin. I'm actually getting compliments on how good my skin is looking now, and I put it all down the this, it's my holy-grail. With this product a little really goes a long way, so you could make this last for ages. I would normally tell you the price of the product, in the UK, however I won this in a competition, so I am not sure on the price.
I think the only downside, is that the product takes a long time to soak into your skin. So if I was wearing no makeup and only this, I would have to put it on five/ten minutes before I left the house so that my face doesn't look too shiny.
However this is my all time favourite skin product, I have fell in love with the majority of the Witch Skincare products, and have four now. They are amazing, I 100% recommend this product.

Welcome back to our blog, now you know a little more about us we can actually start getting into beauty! Today we thought we'd do a battle, a battle of the mascaras. We were originally going to do a review on a beauty products however we didn't both have the same products so we decided to just compare and contrast the same brand mascara against each other. Elise will be fighting for the Maybelline Colossal Go Extreme Leather Black and Tia will be fighting for the Maybelline New York Define A Lash Mascara. So let's get into the battle!

Volume-
Elise- Although the mascara does give some volume, it doesn't really do the perfect job. The mascara does apply very thick, however your lashes do not look really volumised, which for me, is a masisve let down.

Tia - The define a lash maybelline mascara gives so much volume to the mascara and is not so over powering and flaky. It is light, not clumping and gives an overall nice look.

Applicator-
Elise- I'm not actually quite sure how to describe this. The wand looks a little straight but it is actually curvy, which makes it easier to apply. The wand is designed for easy application, however I always find it a little tricky to apply, and 9 times out of 10, end up getting it around my eyes.

Tia - I absolutely love the applicator of my mascara. It is straight however has amazing grip and does not cause the mascara to turn the eyelashes clumpy most of the time however if you put too much mascara on the applicator it turns slightly clumpy. I would rate the applicator 9 out of 10.

Clumps-
Elise- This is the BIGGEST downfall to the mascara. I find the formula a bit to watery (can it be watery😂) it's very sticky, and kind of makes you look like you have like 4 eyelashes. I'm not sure if I'm just applying it really wrong, or if anyone else has had problems. I also find if I'm not careful I can get large clumps at the end of my eyelashes, which fall off during the day. Not a good look

Tia - As I have mentioned a lot above😂my mascara is very good at not making your eyelashes look clumpy however if you overpower the amount of mascara being put on to your eyelashes it may go a bit clumpy but I don't overpower my lashes with mascara.

Overall look-
Elise- I do like this mascara because it holds throughout the day, as well as making my eyelashes much longer. However the way it apply's and can begin to look, makes me like it much less. In the future personally I would try a different formula and wand, just so that my eyelashes have more volume and do not stick together as much.

Tia - the overall look to my mascara is very light and gives such good volume to my lashes and makes my lashes look noticeable :) However I would change the fact that if you put too much on that it does go quite clumpy. I love to try different mascaras and have so many! The overall look is noticeable but not to wild😂and looks very neat.

So today my post is going to be the same post that Elise has previously done. I just wanted you guys to get to know me like you have Elise. Also I am aware that you may be thinking 'but you and Elise done a TMI Tag' well we thought we could tell you a bit more about ourselves! So instead of me rambling on lets just get to the questions!

1. What is your middle name?
Alice

2. Share your favourite subject in high school.
I don't have a favourite subject but i have a few subjects that i like. I probably like Spanish and Business the most.

3. What is your favourite drink?
Fanta, the fruity one though. Sorry I don't know what it is called.

4. Share your favourite song at the moment.
Either Hole In My Heart by Luke Friend (bae) or See You Again from Fast And Furious.

5. What would you name your children?
I have no idea. That's too looooonnngggg away to think about to be honest. Erm well 1. it would depend on the gender and 2. it would depend on whether my partner at the time would agree with the name that i think of.

6. Have you participated in any sports?
Yes. I currently play football every sunday. I have always loved sport and have done a lot of sports; rounders, netball and others.

7. What is your favourite book?
Well. I have read a lot of books and own a lot of books. My favourite books are probably Girl Online - Zoe Sugg, Love Tanya - Tanya Burr, It - Alexa Chung and If I Stay - Gayle Forman. I am hoping to buy Connor Franta's book soon as it looks amazing and the front cover is so tumblr and cool!!

8. What is your favourite colour?
Ginger, pastel pink and cream. Yes, I do say ginger instead of orange. I like to be unique.

9. What is your favourite animal?
My favourite animal by far are tigers. They are so fluffy and cute and adorable and awwwww! Whenever me and my family go to a zoo i always want to go straight to the lions they are so adorable and awwwww!

10. What is your favourite perfume?
I take it body spray's count as well, as i tend to use more body spray's then perfumes. I have a lot to be honest, but recently i have been loving the Soap and Glory - Mist You Madly.

11. What is your favourite holiday?
I don't know what this question really means :'). Does it mean my favourite holiday i have been on?

12. On a scale from 1-10, rate your childhood.
Hmm, well i think that i have been brought up very well and love my parents a lot! I would probably say 8 or 9 as i think i should of gone for more things and shouldn't of worried as much. But then again i still worry haha.

13. Have you been out of the country?
Yes. I am half-Italian so every year i go to Italy to stay with my family. I've been to France 3 times, Belgium, We are going to Spain this year hopefully, and on Monday i will find out if i have been chosen to go to New York with my school next year for an art trip to help with my GCSE'S.

14. Do you speak any other different languages?
I know you are probably thinking that I can speak Italian as i am half-Italian, however i actually don't! I have always wanted to learn so i can speak to my Italian side of the family in their language however i just haven't done it however i would love to. I know a couple of words but not a lot. I love Spanish and i am taking it for a GCSE, i don't know i just love speaking other languages; it fascinates me.

15. Do you have any siblings?
Yes i have a younger sister.

16. What is your favourite store?
I'm not sure, i have so many! I LOVE SUPERDRUG! Sorry, i really do :') I absolutely love Lush Cosmetics as well, i mean who doesn't!

17. What is your favourite restaurant?
I went to Nando's for my birthday which was in April for the 1st time and loved it and would love to go again. I also love Donatello's.

18. Do you like school?
I do but i don't. It can be ok but it depends what lessons i have really.

19. What's your favourite movie?
I have so many. I don't have favourite movie, but i love The Fault In Our Stars, it was so sad and i loved it despite the film making me cry, causinh my eyes to turn literally red. I can't wait until Paper Towns comes out in cinema's as well. I also love Grown Ups 1 and 2, and Pitch Perfect as they are both so funny, hopefully I am seeing Pitch Perfect 2 when it comes out!

20. Who are some of your favourite YouTubers?
JOE SUGG. IM A SUGGLET. JOE SUGG IS AMAZING AND MY BAE. Yeah i love Joe Sugg, Zoella, Pointless Blog, Tanya Burr, Caspar Lee, Oli White, Floral Princess, Quisha Rose and loadsss moreee.

Pretty Little Liars, Waterloo Road (It's not on TV anymore :0 ), Broadchurch, No Offence, Home Fires, The Apprentice, Gogglebox and many more.

When I met Tia on twitter she was so nice, and we talked about her wanting to start a blog. That's when she asked if I wanted to join, of which I said of course! Tia has given me the courage, and support to start a blog with her, and I can't wait to write some more posts.

Today, we are going to do the TMI Tag, now the tag has like 50 questions. Which would take forever to answer; so we've cut it down to just 10 questions.

Elise- I'm with Tia on this one. I could be spending my time doing much better things than fretting over boys, like doing my homework. Who am I kidding, watching my imaginary boyfriend on YouTube *coughjoesuggcough*

Tia- Don't really have one tbh. I used to love one direction but I have kind of gone off them now

A place that you want to visit?
Tia- New York. If I get in, I will be going there on a school art trip next year

Elise- There are loads of places I would love to go, anywhere in America would be great (and I'm going to say Disney World and Harry Potter World because who wouldn't want to go)

Last time you cried?
Tia- At the end of a long friendship

Elise- Other than crying due to anxiety, or crying because I've hurt my toe. The last time I bawled my eyes out was watching My Sisters Keeper, it makes me cry everytime.

Last book you read?
Tia- Girl Online by Zoe Sugg (Zoella)

Elise- I'm in the middle of reading A Work In Progress by Connor Franta, which is such an amazingly written book and I 100% recommend it.

How long does it take you to get ready in the mornings?
Tia- Not very long. I am actually quite quick at getting ready as I set my alarm for school quite early

Elise- I'm really quick, a layer of my favourite makeup, breakfast and clothes. I can get up late and get there on time.

Favourite sweet?
Tia- I don't know, I don't really have one

Elise- I like loads of sweets, I like chocolate, a lot.

Favourite quote?
